war

"you cannot prevent and prepare for war at the same time" -Albert Einstein

War is not a subject to be taken lightly. To be honesty i hate talking about stuff like this, but I will do so any way.
i believe that there is no such thing as world peace. although i do believe in peace. war is inescapable. humans have it written in their d.n.a to fight and to cause wars over nothing.
Wars are always caused by one of three things 1. sex 2. money or 3. religion!
i suppose you would want some proof, well i can give you a war for each i cause.... for the first one sex would be troy vs. Greece commonly known for it's place in the Odyssey. the second one, money, which i often feel that money equals power clearly making it the root of all evil comes up as the American revolution. the Americans of course weren't looking for power or more money at the time but Britain was, fortunately for me the Americans had a real reason to win. But enough of that let's move on to number three religion the easy answer to that is the crusades ... which is a no brainer when comes right down to, I mean I don't know the specifics of the crusades in fact i basically no nothing more than that it was about religion .. i know that Christians were involved and i would bet money that either Muslims or Jews or on the other side fighting! but i would put more on it being Muslims.

I hate war and wished it would end but as i said earlier there is no such thing as world peace. i can only hope ad pray that I am wrong!

dream

i often have dreams of my near future. what i will look like, what i will be doing stuff like that. sometimes i think about what my life will look like when i am in my 50s and 60s when my life is starting to fade. i wish i could know for sure what my life would be like in the future. but i know that thinking about t is all i will ever have. i can't know for sure. even if i wanted to. but i look at it like this if i knew the the truth about my future it would be like reading the last page of a very good book..... it would ruin everything. the adventures i would have, the story, the trials, the successes and the failures. life should be a mystery and not a open book. only god should know.
my dreams often consist of me with the ideal children and lots of money two houses and a life worth living a life any one would envy......

......... although i know that isn't the case i still dream!! and i will keep dreaming until i get what i want... or until i get close enough!!

18

On Saturday June 13Th I turned 18 years of age. it hasn't really sunk in yet. i don't feel any different, am i suppose to. i wouldn't think so.

i had a really cool party though!! i got a bunch of gift cards. however i did get some cash ... oh and a book .. umm.... the HOST by Stephenie Meyer. my sister gave it to me. she can be nice .. when she wants to be! which is not often by the way.
although i would have liked there to been my friends (who are my age) didn't show.. mostly the people who came were people who've seen me in diapers. they told me stories about me when i was a kid and apparently i was quite the talker and i told some tall tales. haha.... not to mention the stories about all the times i called my sister my Shea!! ahh .... ugh..... ha...
everyone was all like were soo proud at how who've grown up.... and you've turned into quite the young lady ...
other than that there's not much to tell!

cop cars

"hey look a cop car, Stevie what you do?"
*looks over* "that's a taxi"

hehe i tend to surround myself with stupid people. but i don't mind. i find them hilarious. hehe they crack me up!!
this particular time happened to be at the wgi world championships. it was a five day event in Ohio. me and my friend Vicky were out in the parking lot (and for those of you who don't know.. that's where drummers often practice) watching all the awesomeness that is wgi and we were about to cross the street when we see flashing lights that's when Vicky said "hey look a cop car, Stevie what you do?" my response was one of amusement when i bent around the corner and saw that is was really a taxi. Vicky wasn't real pleased with that because i was the one who got the last laugh that time. but rest asured that she got me back.

oh yeah by the way my team placed tenth in our class!!!! hehe YAY!! haha....

books

through literacy you can begin to see the universe. through music you can reach anybody. between the two there is you unstoppable.
- grace slick

contrary to common belief i love to read. reading gives me the chance to be someone whom i could never be. currently i have a vampire obsession i have three different vampire series in my room. my favorite is twilight. the other two are marked or the house of night novels and the vampire academy series. they seem to all have the ability to suck me in and they don't let go until i have finished the book. i mean it's really like i can't stop reading until I've reached the end and even then they leave me wanting more.
other then that I've read maximum ride, the warrior stone, and the five ancestors book 6 mouse in the last few months. although i've read all this i seem to have nothing to read at the moment ... soo sad.. i'm totally bored without my books. i have nothing but the television.. ugh.

family

families are like fudge - mostly sweet with nuts
- author unknown
i have family all over the country but i don't speak to most of them. it's not that we have problems its that we just don't talk. families can occasionally be fun and exciting. i am currently visiting my sister, aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins. today i went to my cousin sam's pre-k graduation. it was hilarious! they perfromed a few songs, this one little kid kept doing this little dance move were he would spread his arms out it was like watching that one movie uhh... bring it on.. spirit fingers!! hehe

ugh...

when did we become adults and how do we make it stop
-Meredith Grey, Grey's anatomy

when i was kid i remember thinking that being an adult, that growing up was gonna be fun and easy..... haha.... yeah right!
the only part of life that is easy or at least usually is easy is childhood. little kids are oblivious to the outside world. the hardships, the trials, and the complications.
my life has been easy for the most part .. nothing to terrible but I've had my fair share of issues. I grew up fast and strong. being a teenager was nothing like i thought it would be i figured it would be partying and hangin' with friends all my days .... i was wrong of course.
it was more like waking up at 6 am, band practice all day and homework till 2 am. although I've more than my fair share of friends which of course I'm not complaining about. but let me tell you band drama is truly the worst kind of drama. I blame it on the guard girls .. or perhaps gossip girls is more appropriate.
by all standards I've had a boring and yet fun life so far..... my problem: how do i keep it that way. without the boring part that is.
